Just about the only thing that can keep me from yard saleing on the weekends is a craft show. Tomorrow, I'll be taking kdmade to a local show with my mom (who for some odd reason still doesn't have an Etsy). Being so close to post-play, I feel like I don't have too much stuff to bring, but I think it's more like I don't have much new stuff to bring. Anyway, I made a new necklace yesterday which ended up to be a serendipitous mistake. I totally measured the cord to be double the length I wanted and so when I tried the necklace on it was loooong. I'm a short necklace girl (which, in all honesty, doesn't seem to be what most other people like) so at first I was worried that I'd hate it, but when I took a peek in the mirror, I actually LIKED it! So much so that maybe I'll make one for myself. But for now, this guy is going to the craft show. Kind of reminds me of lemon meringue pie.And for whatever reason, I finally dug into these wonderful beads that I've had squirreled away for a long time. I bought them at a bead show on the same day knowing they were meant to be together. I think it took me a while to make this necklace because I'd originally planned to make and sell it, but deep down I knew it would have to be for me. Anyway, I've recently reorganized my craft room (in big ways - couch out, real honest-to-goodness work table-that-I-can-stand-at in, all of my machines out and ready to be played with) and so I've wanted to be hanging out there and some projects that I've meant to start (or finish!) are calling to me. That, and I've had a thing for red all year:)
